I was bored and mulling over the numerous times you see informal, unstructured straw polls all over the place - especially the Internet, so knocked this site together to give a little structure, and provide an aid for those who lose track whilst conducting informal straw polls using, as an example, netnews (usenet) or email.

This is not an accredited or authoritative voting or polling service.  Results are purely indicative.  No effort is made to evaluate the integrity of votes cast in public polls.  Greater diligence is applied to electorate only 'private' polls.

Basically, it's all done for a bit of fun with a slightly more serious side of contributing toward a democratic process, and only then if you want to rely upon the results :-)
