Comments can enhance the democratic process. Often an idea will be floated and a Straw Poll initiated without much discussion or clarification of what is actually being proposed.

Comments are intended to clarify a proposition or simply to make a statement about the poll (you can view this as Lobbying or Hustings if you like). Poll Creators may wish to add an initial comment giving further details, expanding upon the rationale or referring to a newsgroup, forum or publications where issues that may affect the outcome are being discussed.

Any Registered user can post a Comment, those who are 'guests' can also post comments, but these will go through a moderation process before being made public.
